About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join the team at Soko and Co. This is a part-time position based in our Myaree store located in WA 6154. As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will be the face of our brand, delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales through engaging product knowledge and genuine enthusiasm. This role is fundamental to creating a welcoming shopping experience and building lasting customer relationships that support our business growth.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting customers warmly and providing personalised assistance to help them find products that meet their needs

• Processing transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale systems

• Maintaining a thorough knowledge of our product range and communicating product features and benefits to customers

• Keeping the sales floor organised, visually appealing and fully stocked with merchandise

• Supporting visual merchandising displays and promotional activities to maximise customer engagement

• Handling customer enquiries and concerns with professionalism and care, escalating issues where necessary

• Contributing to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues and supporting store operations

• Adhering to company policies, health and safety standards, and loss prevention procedures

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment is preferred but not essential for enthusiastic candidates

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers and build rapport

• A strong focus on delivering outstanding customer service and creating positive shopping experiences

• Reliability and punctuality, with the flexibility to work part-time hours including weekend shifts

• Basic numeracy skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team

• A positive attitude, willingness to learn and eagerness to contribute to store success

• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and manage stock handling
