For over 20 years, Solace Creations has specialised in upgrading Canberra homes with double glazed uPVC windows and doors that keep our clients comfortable all year round. We are looking for a warm, organised person to be the face of our showroom and support the sales and operations teams.

About the role
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Showroom and Sales Assistant to join our team at our showroom in Fyshwick. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer service and support to our office and installation teams.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers to the showroom, providing a warm and professional first impression

• Assist customers in browsing products, answer enquiries, and provide expert product knowledge and recommendations

• Support the sales team by coordinating customer information, managing appointments, and following up on leads

• Handle customer enquiries via telephone, email, and in person with professionalism and courtesy

• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, and inventory levels

• Perform administrative duties including filing, data entry, confirmation calls and texts, and scheduling as needed

• Tracking and confirming scheduled glass deliveries

• Maintain the showroom environment by keeping displays clean, organised, stocked and visually appealing

What we're looking for

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers

• Demonstrated sales experience or customer service background in a retail or showroom environment

• Commitment to product knowledge and providing accurate information to customers

• Proficiency in CRM systems and general computer skills, and learning software

• Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with attention to detail

• A genuine passion for customer service and commitment to exceeding customer expectations

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

• Professional appearance and demeanour, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude

• Previous experience in a similar showroom or sales role or familiar with the construction industry (preferred but not essential)

• Reliable all-rounder, happy supporting two teams and switching gears
