Early Childhood Trainee

About the role

As an Early Childhood Trainee at Dayaa, you will work alongside our experienced and qualified educators to support children's learning, development, wellbeing and everyday experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Build meaningful and respectful relationships with children and families

• Support educators in providing high-quality, play-based learning experiences

• Assist with setting up and maintaining engaging learning environments

• Participate in children's routines, including meals, rest, hygiene and transitions

• Learn about the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF 2.0)

• Develop your knowledge of child development and early childhood practices

• Gain practical experience while completing your Certificate III

• Work as part of a supportive and collaborative team

About you

• Currently enrolled in, or willing to enrol in, a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

• Commitment to completing the required training and work placement

• Current Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain one

• Commitment to child safety and safeguarding

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Warm, caring and genuinely enjoys working with children

• Enthusiastic and eager to learn

• Reliable, punctual and committed to their studies

• A positive team player who is willing to contribute

• Respectful and professional in their communication
