The Role: Entry Level Freight Operator

We’re looking for a motivated Entry Level Freight Operator to join our team.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or build a career in transport and logistics. No previous experience is required as you’ll receive on-the-job training and support while learning how to safely receive, process, handle and prepare freight for movement across our network.

You’ll be working hands-on on the operations floor, with a key focus on pre-strapping and preparing loads for transport, while gaining exposure to broader freight and logistics operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Pre-strapping and preparing loads for transport

• Receiving, counting and checking incoming freight against paperwork

• Receiving interstate freight and dunnage

• Labelling freight and entering information into relevant systems

• Checking freight for damage or other issues and reporting concerns

• Completing freight paperwork and compliance checks

• Following procedures for load restraint, dangerous goods and pallet management

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area

• Communicating with drivers, team members and other departments

• Assisting the wider team as required

• Participating in training and development to build your freight and logistics skills
