About the RoleWe are looking for a Civil Designer or Design Engineer - Intermediate or Senior - to join our team.
This is a hands-on design role where you’ll work across a variety of civil infrastructure and renewable energy projects, contributing to projects from concept through to detailed design and delivery.
You’ll work closely with Engineers, Project Managers, clients and other project stakeholders to develop practical, high-quality civil designs that are suitable for construction.
The roles would suit a technical professional with around 5+ years’ industry experience for Intermediate and 8-10+ years for Senior who is looking to broaden their technical experience and take on increasing responsibility within a supportive and collaborative team.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed civil designs and documentation for a range of infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
Undertake civil design work including access tracks, rural roads, intersections, drainage and hydrology.
Produce accurate and practical designs using 12d Model and AutoCAD.
Prepare drawings, calculations, design documentation and technical reports as required.
Apply relevant engineering standards, guidelines and project requirements to design solutions.
Identify project risks, opportunities and design issues and communicate these to the project team.
Work collaboratively with Engineers, Project Managers, clients, subconsultants and other stakeholders.
Manage your workload and deliver quality work within agreed project timeframes.
Contribute to the review of designs and technical work to ensure accuracy and quality.
Support and share knowledge with junior team members.
Work in accordance with icubed’s Quality Management System and project requirements.
We’re looking for someone who is technically capable, collaborative and keen to keep developing.
You will ideally have:
A Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Around 5+ years’ industry experience in civil design.
Demonstrated experience using 12d Model and AutoCAD.
Experience across civil design, including roads, access tracks, intersections, drainage, hydrology or hydraulics.
A good understanding of relevant industry standards and guidelines.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with colleagues, clients and other stakeholders.
Good time management and the ability to manage competing project priorities.
A current driver’s licence (manual preferred).
A current White Card.
