With a strong pipeline of work and long-standing client relationships, our Infrastructure team continues to grow — and we’re looking for a Senior Civil Engineer – Water Infrastructure to join our Sunshine Coast office.

The Opportunity

In this role, you’ll play a key part in the technical delivery, project management, and client engagement of water infrastructure projects locally and nationally.

You’ll be supported by experienced leaders while having the autonomy to take ownership of your projects and help drive commercial and technical success.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver technical design for water and wastewater infrastructure projectsLead and contribute to the design of:PipelinesPump stationsIntakesWater retaining structuresApply project management principles to meet program, budget, and quality requirementsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated project outcomesProvide technical input into bids and proposalsMaintain strong client relationships and contribute to winning repeat workEnsure designs meet relevant standards, client requirements, and SMEC quality expectations

About You

You are an experienced water infrastructure engineer who enjoys both technical delivery and client interaction, and you’re motivated to continue growing your career within a consultancy environment.

You Will Ideally Have

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or similar)RPEQ, or ability to obtain5–10 years’ experience in an engineering consultancyStrong experience in water infrastructure detailed designProven ability to deliver projects and manage multiple stakeholdersWell-developed written and verbal communication skills
