Academic Operations and Events Coordinator

About the Role

The Academic Operations and Events Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the operational, administrative and promotional activities of the Higher Education Private Providers Quality Network (HEPP-QN).

Primary responsibilities include:

• Provide efficient administration of projects assigned including and not limited to HEPP-QN membership and network operations.
• Maintain an effective online presence for assigned projects including but not limited to coordinate HEPP-QN communications and promotional activities.
• Coordinate the delivery of workshops including but not limited to HEPP-QN workshops and professional development activities.
• Coordinate the planning, delivery and continuous improvement of conferences, forums, workshops and sector engagement events to provide a high-quality experience for members and stakeholders.
• Provide administrative coordination for quality initiatives, publications and strategic projects as directed by the Provost.
• Provide high-level administrative support to activities and foster effective stakeholder relationships.

Selection Criteria

Qualifications and Professional Standing:

• Committed Christian involved in a local congregation.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of relevant qualifications and demonstrated experience.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating conferences, events or professional development activities.
• Experience providing high-level administrative support in a complex organisational environment, managing multiple priorities and coordinating projects to meet deadlines.
• Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience using event management systems, website content management systems or online collaboration platforms.
• Experience in the higher education, education, not-for-profit or membership association sector is desirable.
• Ability to work independently, exercise initiative and contribute effectively as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Full Australian Working Rights.
