Support Worker

About the role

Premier Supported Living is seeking motivated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team in Brunswick, VIC. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and assistance to our elderly and disabled clients, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. This is a casual position with flexible scheduling to suit your needs.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping

2. Assisting with client transfers ( Manual Handling)

3. Providing companionship and social engagement to clients through activities and outings

4. Advocating for clients' needs and ensuring their rights are respected

5. Documenting client progress and communications in a timely manner

6. Collaborating with the broader care team to implement individualised support plans

7. Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols

What we're looking for

1. Relevant experience in aged care, disability support, or a similar community services role

2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients

3. Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of others

4. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

5. First Aid certification or willingness to obtain

6. A valid driver's licence is preferred
