Delivery Drivers - Early Morning Shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Driver's License: Minimum requirement of a MR Truck license.

• Fleet: Operate our fleet of 8mtr long bed tray trucks for deliveries within Melbourne Metro, Peninsula, and Geelong.

• Loading and Unloading: Assist with the loading and unloading of goods onto the delivery vehicle.

• Delivery: Transport manufactured sheet metal products to merchant stores and building sites.

• Route Optimization: Schedule delivery runs for the most efficient route.

• Loading and Checking: Load the truck according to work sheets, ensuring the items are correct before departure.

• Overtime: Be flexible to work overtime when necessary to complete tasks.

• Load Securing: Properly secure loads to ensure safe transport.

• Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the vehicle in a neat and clean appearance.

• Personal Presentation: Maintain a tidy and neat personal appearance.

• Safety: Adhere to all OH&S regulations on sites as directed.

• Safety and Care: Take reasonable care for your own safety and the safety of others, ensuring no risk to health or safety.

• Compliance: Follow lawful instructions from Supervisors and observe the workplace Code of Conduct as detailed in our policy documents.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Possession of a valid MR license with at least one year of driving experience.
2. Previous experience in delivery driving is advantageous.
3. Proficient communication skills.
4. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
5. A strong dedication to safety and adherence to regulatory requirements.
6. Consistency and dependability in performance.
7. Effective time management abilities.
8. Capability to perform light hand unloading.
9. Competence in reading and completing necessary paperwork for each delivery.
10. Exceptional customer service skills.
11. Physical fitness, as manual handling tasks are part of the job.
12. A current forklift license.
13. Familiarity with Melbourne and its surrounding suburbs.
14. Experience in handling multiple deliveries, typically exceeding 10 deliveries per day.
15. Strong organizational skills.
