Electrical Fitter / Mechanical Fitter

About the role

Dussen specialises in the repairs of Meat Processing Equipment. We are looking for a Service Technician to install, repair and maintain all aspects of customer equipment, both mechanical and electrical. These duties may be performed in the workshop and/or on-site.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain all aspects of customer equipment (mechanical and electrical)

• Perform fault finding and breakdown repairs

• Carry out preventative maintenance

• Work autonomously and as part of a team

• Follow WHS protocols and maintain safety consciousness

• Work Monday to Friday with occasional overtime

About you

• Electrical Fitter with good mechanical knowledge, or Mechanical Fitter with a restricted Electrical License

• Must have an Electrical License or a Full Restricted Electrical License

• 3rd/4th year Apprentices considered

• Experience in fault finding, breakdowns and preventative maintenance (essential)

• Good mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills (essential)

• Current Manual Driver's License

• Good work ethic

• Excellent customer service skills

• Written and oral communication skills

• Ability to work overtime occasionally

• Ability to gain or have a police check

• Previous experience in a Service Technician role (advantageous)
