Bondar Wines – Casual Cellar Door Host

We are looking for a casual cellar door host to join our team at Bondar Wines in McLaren Vale.

Bondar is one of McLaren Vale’s leading modern wineries. We are a family-owned wine business with a small team who we value highly. Our vision is to make wines that are bright, structured, mid-weight, yet concentrated in flavour, and with a savoury element. Our wines are sourced from our home vineyard as well as from great sites around McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills, and they are made in our onsite winery.

We are looking to welcome a customer service professional into our team who loves wine, who is responsible and reliable, who can take initiative and is able to work independently as well as alongside the rest of our group.

The position is for an ongoing Saturday shift 10:45am-5pm, with a Thursday shift also available (but not required). There may also be opportunity for other shifts as required, and flexibility is much appreciated. Availability over the busy Christmas / New Years’ period is required.

Duties of the role include: 

• Hosting tastings and providing all aspects of exceptional customer care and service both within our cellar door and with our online DTC customers,
• Promoting and growing the wine club, driving new memberships, and helping to organise the two major shipments each year,
• Stock control and management,
• Cleaning and keeping the cellar door and outside areas neat, tidy and welcoming,
• Taking control of the end-to-end process of shipping customer orders.

There may also an opportunity to do some winery or vineyard work when required if this is of interest, or if you have an interest and/or experience in marketing there is opportunity for work in that area as well.
