Vegetable Seed - Product Development Representative

About the Role

Are you focused on agriculture and love being out in the field building relationships with growers? 

The Magnus Kahl Seeds and Ausallium group are seeking a dynamic and driven Product Development Representative to join our team. The key responsibility of this role is to assist with managing both regional and international trialling programs covering our allium, baby leaf, herb and micro green seed. This role requires someone with strong communication skills, with the ability to develop relationships with current and prospective customers. You will working closely with a small product development team and will be mentored by the Global Sales Manager and company General Manager. 

This is a highly mobile role where  you will be frequently travelling to visit domestic and international growers. 

Key Responsibilities

• Trial Management & Product Development: Set up, manage, and evaluate domestic and international vegetable seed trials. Work with the breeding team to identify oncoming pipeline genetics.

• Recording findings and making decisions based on trial outcomes: Analyse data and assist management with making decisions on variety progression. 

• Marketing & Brand Development: Assist with organising field days, attend key industry events and develop the Magnus Kahl Seeds and Ausallium brands online via social media and digital platforms.

What We Are Looking For

• Agronomic Background: A tertiary qualification in a related discipline or equivalent hands-on industry.

• Exceptional Communication: The ability to build rapport with commercial growers and internal breeding teams alike.

• Digital Savvy: Experience driving brand awareness through digital channels/social media

• Mobility: Ready for significant domestic seasonal travel and international travel. A valid, unrestricted Australian Driver’s License and passport are mandatory requirements.

• Personal Traits: Resilient, highly organised, detail orientated, honest, with a good sense of humour!
