Role Purpose

The Retail Operations and Fulfilment Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of the Club’s retail and membership fulfilment operations, ensuring every interaction with our retail program and membership fulfilment program is delivered to the highest standard. This role oversees retail operations across physical and online channels, including Devils Den, match-day retail and pop-up activations, and manages key operational partners, inventory, logistics, budgets and team performance to ensure every touchpoint reflects the Club’s brand and delivers an exceptional fan experience. Your responsibilities will include:

Retail Operations

• Lead the Club’s retail program across physical and online channels, overseeing day-to-day delivery and the performance of the Club’s retail partner
• Manage the retail operations budget, ensuring expenditure is effectively planned, monitored and controlled
• Monitor retail performance against sales, service and game-day targets, identifying opportunities to improve commercial outcomes and fan experience
• Develop and maintain retail policies, procedures and operational documentation to support consistent, efficient delivery

Membership Fulfilment Operations

• Own end-to-end delivery of the Club’s membership fulfilment program, ensuring accurate, on-time and cost-effective distribution each season
• Manage the Club’s fulfilment partner, including seasonal planning, weekly WIP meetings, KPI monitoring and resolution of operational issues
• Coordinate the ordering and production of annual membership products, including budgeting, quantities, timelines and design approvals
• Oversee in-season fulfilment operations, including fulfilment files, replacement orders and member issue resolution

Store, Match-Day & Event Retail Execution

• Manage Devils Den and all physical retail environments, ensuring consistently high standards of presentation, service and operational efficiency
• Lead the planning and delivery of match-day merchandise operations
• Work closely with events and operations teams to deliver seamless retail and membership execution on match-days and at Club events
• Manage stock control, POS and inventory management systems, and monitor shrinkage across all physical retail environments

Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement

• Lead, coach and develop the Retail Coordinator, casual retail workforce and membership fulfilment support team
• Manage workforce planning, including staffing levels and rostering, providing clear operational leadership during match-days and peak periods
• Act as the Club’s primary operational liaison with the official apparel partner
• Drive continuous improvement across retail and fulfilment operations, identifying opportunities to enhance performance, process and service delivery

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience leading retail operations in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to coach, develop and build high-performing teams
• Strong operational capability across retail systems, inventory management, POS and high-volume trading environments
• Commercially minded, with the ability to analyse performance, manage budgets and identify opportunities to improve outcomes
• Highly organised and self-directed, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver results autonomously
• Experience with CRM and customer service platforms such as Salesforce and Zendesk is desirable

• Based in Hobart, with occasional travel and out-of-hours work required, particularly on match-days

• Salary guidance of $95,000–$105,000 + superannuation, commensurate with experience
