About the role
Help shape the future of health, aged care and disability policy
The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing is seeking talented APS Level 6 Program and Policy Officers to help deliver initiatives that make a meaningful difference to the lives of Australians.
In this role, you will work across diverse portfolios to develop policy, manage programs, provide strategic advice, lead projects and build productive relationships with stakeholders. You'll contribute to complex and rewarding work that supports government priorities and drives positive outcomes for individuals, families and communities across Australia.
We are looking for proactive and collaborative professionals with strong judgement, excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate complexity and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. You will be comfortable building partnerships, solving problems and contributing to high-performing teams.
A merit pool may be established from this process and used to fill future similar ongoing and non-ongoing APS Level 6 vacancies across the department for up to 18 months from the date this role was advertised on APS Jobs.
The key duties of the position include:To be eligible for employment with the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, applicants must be an Australian citizen at the time an offer of employment is made.
