Help Create a Safe, Welcoming Environment for Recovery
At Lives Lived Well, we walk alongside people on their journey of recovery, social and emotional wellbeing. Through our residential Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) services across Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia, we support thousands of people each year to navigate AOD-related challenges and move forward in life.
Located approximately 60km from Cairns, Shanty Creek is our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residential treatment and recovery program. We support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and women aged 18 years and over who are experiencing alcohol or other drug dependency or misuse and associated mental health challenges.

We provide a culturally safe environment where people can connect and reconnect with themselves, their culture, community and future aspirations while working towards recovery and wellbeing.
Your Opportunity
As a Wellbeing Support Worker / Cleaner, you will play an important role in ensuring our residential community remains clean, safe, welcoming and supportive for residents, visitors and staff.
Every role at Shanty Creek contributes to healing and recovery. As a Wellbeing Support Worker / Cleaner, you'll help create spaces where people feel welcomed, respected and cared for. Through your work, you'll contribute to an environment that supports social and emotional wellbeing, connection and positive change.
While this is an Identified Position, the successful applicant will contribute to the wellbeing of all residents accessing the Shanty Creek community. The cultural knowledge, lived experience and perspectives Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff bring are highly valued and help create a culturally safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone.

Lives Lived Well Employee
This position is an Identified Position and Lives Lived Well considers being an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person to be a genuine occupational requirement under Section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld).
What We're Looking For
You don't need to hold formal qualifications for this role. We're looking for someone who is motivated, has a willingness to support others, is reliable and committed to making a positive contribution to the lives of others.
Your skills and strengths:
Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, hospitality, residential care, community services or a similar environment will be highly regarded.
You will need to hold a current Australian Driver's Licence and be willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR Certificate.
