Senior Accounts Payable Officer

About the role

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day AP operations, resolving complex issues and supporting the wider finance team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Processing and overseeing supplier payments accurately and on time
• Ensuring invoices and payments meet relevant financial compliance requirements
• Investigating and resolving complex invoice discrepancies and supplier queries
• Mentoring and supporting other members of the Accounts Payable team
• Supporting audit preparation and maintaining accurate financial records
• Monitoring invoice volumes, processing performance and compliance
• Identifying opportunities to improve Accounts Payable processes and systems

We’re looking for an experienced Accounts Payable professional who enjoys being the person others can rely on.

You will ideally have:

• 5+ years' experience in Accounts Payable
• Strong knowledge of finance systems, invoice portals and Excel
• MYOB or ERP experience is desirable
• Previous experience mentoring or guiding team members
• Strong attention to detail and a solutions-focused approach
• A genuine interest in process improvement and finding better ways of working
