Manufacturing Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to join our asphalt team at our Townsville plant.

As Manufacturing Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the production of asphalt to meet local and regional daily operations.

All asphalt plants work day and night shifts to fulfil customer demand, servicing state and local governments, property developers, large, medium and small-scale projects, defence, airports, sea port, pavement construction and rehabilitation and maintenance.

Your day will involve:

Daily production meetings with contracting sales and teamDaily safety focus toolboxEnsures all daily prestart are carried out in accordance with guidelinesMeets daily production targetsEnsure all relevant paperwork is completed dailyOrdering of raw materials to meet demandSchedule maintenance days / shutdown plansEnsure all periodical maintenance tasks are completedRostering of staff to meet production demandsEnsure all staff are trained in accordance with the training matrix

What are we looking for?

Experience in Fixed Plant Manufacturing, production and operationsSupervisory experience preferably within Asphalt or a similar industryEngineering exposure or trade qualifications a plus.Sound knowledge and understanding of HSEQ requirementsStrong written and verbal communication and intermediate MS Office skillsKnowledge of packaging processesFront end loader and/or Forklift License (desirable)Confined space and work at heights (desirable)
