We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Draftsperson to join our team in Canning Vale. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring drafting professional, whether you are starting your career or looking to build on existing experience within a growing international organisation. 

The Role

As a Junior Draftsperson, you will work closely with our Engineering, Sales and Project teams to develop 3D models, fabrication drawings and support system layouts for industrial and commercial projects. 

You will be part of a regional engineering team that collaborates across Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, the United Kingdom and the United States. The role offers exposure to a diverse range of projects, from small-scale installations through to major developments across sectors including: 

• Data Centres 

• Mining 

• Power & Utilities 

• OEM Manufacturing 

• Chemical Processing 

• Building Services 

Your work will play a key role in delivering high-quality digital engineering and drafting solutions for Sikla's modular steel support systems. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Develop coordinated BIM models and detailed shop drawings for fabrication and construction. 

• Produce accurate 3D models, support layouts and project documentation. 

• Collaborate with Project Managers and Sales teams to understand project and client requirements. 

• Liaise with Sikla engineers to ensure structural requirements are incorporated into BIM coordination and design deliverables. 

• Prepare documentation to support compliance and project delivery objectives. 

• Maintain effective communication with local and international stakeholders. 

• Ensure all drawings and models meet Sikla's quality standards and drafting procedures. 

About You 

We welcome applications from both recent graduates and candidates with relevant industry experience. To succeed in this role, you will ideally possess: 

• Experience using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks. 

• An understanding of 3D modelling principles and BIM coordination within the construction environment. 

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical support systems. 

• The ability to produce and interpret fabrication and shop drawings. 

• An understanding of mechanical and electrical building services. 

• Experience with Autodesk Plant 3D (desirable but not essential). 

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to drafting standards and quality. 

• A practical, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving. 

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
