Plant Operator

Based out of our Bacchus Marsh quarry, we have an exciting opportunities available for excavator and loader operators to join our high performing and committed team.

As the newest member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking operational duties in a safe and responsible manner. You will also operate and maintain machinery, monitor production metrics, and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

This role involves working shift work.

Your Day will involve:

• Safe operation of front-end loader and other quarry mobile plant as required (Front Face Loader, Excavator)
• Learning to find mechanical faults and conducting basic maintenance and plant housekeeping
• Active participation in problem solving and continuous improvement activities
• Participation in safety initiatives including pre-starts, toolboxes and incident reporting
• Managing daily administration, including stock control and reporting when required.
• Inspecting and maintaining plant equipment and trucks.
• General housekeeping and maintaining a safe work environment.

What we are looking for?

• A strong safety focus and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound computer skills for batching, reporting, and stock management.
• Proven experience operating machinery such as loaders, excavators and dump trucks.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to safety and quality
• Pro-active attitude
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team with minimal supervision
• Availability to work shift work
