Role Description The Telehealth Psychologist (Contractor) is a flexible remote role responsible for delivering individual psychological assessment and intervention via secure online platforms. Day-to-day tasks include conducting comprehensive intake assessments, formulating treatment plans, and providing evidence-based therapy to clients with a range of mental health presentations. The psychologist will monitor client progress, adjust interventions as needed, and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in line with professional and ethical standards. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with other practitioners when appropriate, and staying current with best practices in telehealth and psychological treatment.
Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology and eligibility for registration (or licensure) with the appropriate professional regulatory body (AHPRA).Strong foundation in Psychology and Mental Health, with the ability to apply evidence-based interventions across diverse client presentations.Experience providing telehealth-based psychological services and comfort working with digital health platforms and electronic records.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and rapport-building skills, with a client-centered and culturally sensitive approach.Strong professional ethics, ability to work independently in a remote setting, and effective time management and organizational skills.Experience with trauma-informed care, neurodevelopmental disorders, or behavioral interventions is highly regarded.Have (or willingness to obtain) training and approval to provide Meicare, Work Cover, Victims Services, and NDIS sevices. To be successful in this role, you will need to operate as an independent contractor. This requires a valid ABN, an active Medicare provider number (or eligibility), and your own professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
