About The role:

Based at out Largs Bay depot, we are looking for a hands on, reliable and experienced Container Forklift / Reach Stacker Operator to join our operations team specialising in container movements.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy transport yard environment, is safety-focused, and has strong coordination skills. Ideally, you can work both independently and as part of a dynamic team.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will operate efficiently and accurately across receival of containers, consolidating, stacking and putting away in a safe manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficient operation of forklift to handle and move inventory and materials

• Loading and unloading of goods from trucks and containers

• Inspection of goods received for any damage or discrepancies

• Accurate recording of inventory, maintaining up-to-date stock records

• Preloading Vehicles for next-day deliveries

• Complying with health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment

About you:

• Current High Risk Forklift (LF) Licence with operating experience essential

• High Risk Reach Stacker (RS) Licence highly desirable or interest in obtaining

• Experience within the Transport and Logistics Industry highly desirable

• Sound knowledge of safe and efficient freight handling processes

• Chain of responsibility awareness and an understanding of heavy vehicle configurations and capacities, load compliance, and restraints

• High attention to detail and clear handwritten communication

• Able to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

• Able to prioritise, be self-organised, and motivated

• Willingness to learn and the genuine desire to work as part of a close-knit team
