What You'll Be Doing

This position is key for the operational and clinical governance of the mental health services operating out of Northern Beaches Hospital. There is opportunity for service development as new roles are developed with the expansion of this service which provides a service within the acute inpatient unit, a psycho-geriatrics inpatient unit, a PECC, ED and Clinical Liaison Services across the hospital.

Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria

Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.Current AHPRA Registration with authority to practice as a Registered Nurse Division 1. Recognised tertiary management qualification, or equivalent relevant post graduate clinical experience in mental health field, and / or a combination of study and extensive experience in mental health, drug and alcohol setting.Demonstrated ability in managing human resources, financial and administrative issues across a large and complex mental health service. Proven leadership skills that foster engagement.Demonstrated understanding of contemporary issues impacting on consumer flow and capacity to engage teams in implementing demand management strategies.Ability to analyse complex documents and provide advice on service plans and strategic direction.
