Dental Assistant

About the role

Liverpool Dental Centre is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an integral position within our busy dental practice, located in Liverpool. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dental practitioners and ensuring that our patients receive exceptional care in a professional and welcoming environment. You will be the backbone of our clinical operations, working directly with dentists to facilitate smooth and efficient treatments whilst maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting dentists during clinical procedures by preparing instruments, materials and equipment

• Providing chairside support to ensure efficient patient treatment and positive patient experience

• Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment to the highest hygiene standards

• Greeting patients, scheduling appointments and managing reception duties as required

• Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring they are clean, organised and fully stocked

• Supporting infection control protocols and maintaining a safe clinical environment

• Assisting with patient education and post-treatment care instructions

• Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting the overall success of the practice

What we're looking for

• Experience preferred but we will provide training for the right candidate

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and team members

• Attention to detail

• A patient-focused approach with genuine commitment to delivering high-quality care

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

• Reliability, punctuality and a professional attitude towards work

• Preferred: Experience working in a general dental practice or similar healthcare setting
