Senior Project Manager

Aurex Group is exclusively partnering with a growing construction business to appoint a high-calibre Senior Project Manager to lead and expand its operations in Australia.
This is more than a project-delivery role. As a senior representative of the business, you will take ownership of live projects while playing a pivotal part in building client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and establishing the foundations for long-term business growth. For the right person, there is a clear and planned pathway into a senior leadership position.
Based predominantly on site, this hands-on and client-facing role will suit an experienced construction professional who combines strong project delivery capability with commercial acumen, relationship-building skills, and the drive to grow a business in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects, from pre-construction through to completion and handover.Act as the senior day-to-day contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers, building trusted, long-term relationships.Manage project programmes, procurement, site coordination, quality, cost, risk, and delivery outcomes.Identify opportunities to strengthen existing client partnerships, secure repeat work, and support new business development.Represent the business professionally in the Australian market, building a strong network across clients, consultants, and industry stakeholders.Work closely with leadership on operational planning, market intelligence, pipeline development, and business-growth strategy.Establish and uphold high standards of safety, quality, communication, and client service across all projects.Take ownership of project and client outcomes, with the potential to build and lead a local team as the business grows.
About You
A minimum of 8 years’ project management experience in construction is essential.Experience delivering commercial buildings or fit-out projects is highly regarded; strong construction delivery backgrounds will also be considered.Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex, site-based projects and take accountability for outcomes.Strong commercial awareness, with the confidence to identify opportunities and contribute to business growth.A proven track record of building strong client relationships and communicating effectively with senior stakeholders.Comfortable working in a lean, fast-paced environment where initiative, adaptability, and ownership are valued.Ambitious, resilient, and motivated by the opportunity to help build a high-performing, tier-one operation.
