About the Team The role sits within Research Grants and Development unit in the Research Office. The team supports all research grant funding activities across the university to enable quality research grant development, submission and successful funding outcomes as well as research capability development.
Job PurposeThis role leads the coordination and delivery of pre award research grant activities across the university. It supports the submission of Australian research grant applications and contributes to process improvement and service delivery.
Role Responsibilities Lead and manage the Pre Award Grants team, including workload allocation and staff development and support.Coordinate end to end research grant planning and submission processes to ensure quality, compliance and timeliness.Provide advice to researchers and faculties on funding schemes, eligibility and requirements.Support development and review of grant applications, including budgets and compliance.Directly lead the planning, coordination and oversight of strategically important funding programs.Monitor service delivery and contribute to reporting and continuous improvement.Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support funding outcomes.
Skills, Attributes and Knowledge Ability to lead and support a team in a research management environment.Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.Problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.Ability to interpret and apply policy and funding requirements.Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Knowledge of the research grant lifecycle and university policies.
Experience Experience supporting coordination and submission of research grant applications.Experience working in a research or university environment.Experience managing complex workloads and working with detailed information.Experience supporting training or guidance on research processes.
Qualifications Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

What We Offer
Base Salary Range: $122,640 - $139,674 (HEW8) plus 17% superannuation (pension)
The position is full time and will be made on a continuing basis.
