About the role

As a Line Cook in our Prep & Dessert section, you'll play an important role in ensuring every service begins with quality and ends on a high note. From preparing fresh ingredients and supporting mise en place to plating desserts with precision and consistency, you'll help deliver the exceptional standards Hunter & Barrel is known for.

Working alongside an experienced kitchen team, you'll maintain an organised section, uphold food safety standards, and take pride in producing dishes that showcase premium ingredients and attention to detail.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Chef, Dessert Chef, or similar role

• Minimum 1 years' experience in a fast-paced, quality-driven kitchen

• Confidence preparing ingredients and executing recipes to a consistently high standard

• Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks during service

• Excellent organisation and time management skills

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is advantageous

• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards

• Passion for quality produce and delivering exceptional guest experiences

• Flexible availability across a 7-day rotating roster
