Open Cut Mine Pump Operator

About the role

Open Cut Mine Pump Operator within an organization involved with the management and maintenance of wastewater programs in a mining environment in the Singleton area.

·         Lifestyle roster - runs 7 days a week (4 on - 5 off - 5 on - 4 off) from 6am to 6pm (12hr shift) OR Monday to Friday (9 hr shift).  Day shift only.

·         Weekends and Public Holidays are included in the roster & paid accordingly.

·         Above award rates paid.

·         All penalty rates payable for work over 7 hours Monday to Friday and days worked on the weekend.

·         Job will initially be for a 3-month trial period during which you will work Monday to Friday.  You will be permanent if you pass the trial.

·         Pump training and all relevant mine site training will be provided on the job.

·         Immediate start after induction process.

Selection Criteria

Essential:

·         Demonstrated willingness and capacity to perform the inherent physical requirements of the role.

·         Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team in the outdoors in all weather conditions.

·         A condition of employment is that you possess a current driver’s license.

·         Have reasonable communication skills (written and verbal).

·         Have knowledge of and commitment to OH&S.

·         Ability to comply with current / ongoing Drug & Alcohol requirements.

·         Willingness to undergo an Order 45 Coal Services Health Medical.

Desirable:

·         Knowledge / experience with large volume electric and diesel pumping systems.

·         Recent open cut mine experience.

·         Current poly welding ticket with experience in poly welding.

·         HR driving licence would be an advantage.
