Civil Operations Manager

About The Role

Reporting to senior management, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the civil division, supporting Project Managers, Site Supervisors and site teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently and profitably.

You Will

Oversee multiple civil projects and operational activitiesLead and support Project Managers, Site Supervisors and crewsCoordinate labour, plant, equipment, materials and subcontractorsMonitor project performance, costs, productivity and resourcesEnsure WHS, environmental and quality standards are maintainedIdentify and resolve operational and project challengesBuild strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliersDrive accountability, efficiency and continuous improvementAssist with estimating, tendering and project planningSupport the continued development and growth of Civil as a key part of the business

About You

You're an experienced civil operator and leader who takes pride in quality work and team performance.

You Will Have

Relevant civil construction qualification or trade backgroundWhite Card - Construction Induction (essential)10+ years' experience in civil construction, in senior leadership rolesProven experience in civil project or operations managementStrong knowledge of civil construction methods, plant and project deliveryDemonstrated experience leading teams and managing multiple projectsStrong understanding of WHS, environmental and quality requirementsAbility to read and interpret construction plans and specificationsStrong commercial, budgeting and cost-control understandingCurrent Driver's Licence - HR Licence highly regardedConfidence using digital reporting and project management tools, including MS Office, Excel and Microsoft Project and ProcoreExcellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
