About the role
Penrith Women’s Health Centre has been supporting women in Western Sydney since 1987, providing a safe, inclusive space to access health, wellbeing and safety services. We are a feminist, community-based organisation committed to equity, social justice and culturally safe practice for all women. Our work is funded by the Department of Communities and Justice and NSW Health. Our Safety and Empowerment Services deliver specialist domestic and family violence case management grounded in a trauma-informed and empowerment model of care.
Penrith Women's Health Centre is seeking a skilled and passionate Domestic & Family Violence Case Worker to join our Safety and Empowerment Services team. This role delivers specialist domestic and family violence (DFV) case management, supporting women and their children to improve safety, stability and wellbeing using a trauma-informed, client-centred and strengths-based approach. You will work as part of a small, dedicated team providing a range of safety and empowerment services, including case management, case coordination, advocacy, referral coordination, education and access to practical support. Our work is guided by national, state and local plans to reduce violence against women and their children, while empowering women to achieve safer and more independent futures.
We strongly encourage applications from First Nations women, women from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and women with lived experience of domestic and family violence.
PWHC considers being a woman a genuine occupational qualification for this position under Section 31 of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
