We're looking for the right attitude above all: organised, proactive, enthusiastic, curious and willing to embrace change.Reporting to the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:Processing accounts payableCompleting bank reconciliationsReconciling practice management system sales to bank receiptsCompleting credit card reconciliations, including following up outstanding receipts and supporting documentationPreparing balance sheet reconciliationsAssisting with month-end processesMaintaining accurate financial records and documentationIdentifying opportunities to improve finance processes and internal controlsDepending on your experience and career aspirations, there will also be opportunities to become involved in:Payroll processingBAS preparationFinancial reportingBudgeting and forecasting supportOther broader finance and accounting responsibilitiesThis role offers genuine progression for someone looking to build a long-term career in finance.QualificationsWe're looking for someone who:Has bookkeeping or accounting experience, or relevant qualificationsHas excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skillsIs proactive and enjoys taking ownership of their workIs comfortable communicating with colleagues to obtain information and resolve issuesEnjoys learning and continuously improvingEmbraces change and looks for better ways of workingIs comfortable asking why things are done a certain way and sharing new ideasWorks well as part of a collaborative teamExperience with Xero, Microsoft Excel or practice management systems is useful but not essential — we're happy to train the right person.
