We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join our Commercial Litigation team in Brisbane, working directly with Partner, Shane Williamson.

About the team and the work

• Join a collegiate team of experienced litigators acting for public and private corporations, government authorities, SMEs and individuals in a diverse range of commercial disputes across Australia.

• Exposure to a broad and varied litigation practice, including contractual disputes, Corporations Act matters, property disputes (including planning and environment, land resumption and compensation matters), defamation, and personal and corporate insolvency.

• Meaningful client contact from day one, with involvement across all stages of matters, regular opportunities appear in State and Federal Courts, and the chance to build lasting client relationships through direct engagement and secondment opportunities.

About you

• Pragmatic, proactive and solutions-focused, with 6 to 10+ years' experience in a well-regarded Commercial Litigation and/or Insolvency practice.

• Strong academic credentials, complemented by exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

• Ambitious and commercially minded, with a genuine interest in developing client relationships, growing a practice, and taking on increasing responsibility as your career progresses.

• Confident managing matters autonomously, whilst enjoying direct client contact and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

• Someone who values a relaxed, collegiate and high-performing environment that offers flexibility, autonomy and genuine work-life balance.
