Rochester and Elmore District Health Service (REDHS) is seeking passionate and experienced Registered Nurses to join our Acute Ward team on a casual basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive rural health service where your skills, compassion, and commitment to person-centred care will have a direct impact on patient outcomes.

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients while working collaboratively with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals to deliver high-quality healthcare services.

About the Role

Reporting to the Acute Services Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Delivering safe, comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care.

• Undertaking patient assessments and developing individualised care plans.

• Monitoring, evaluating and responding to changes in patient conditions.

• Advocating for patients and supporting patients and families through education and communication.

• Maintaining accurate and compliant clinical documentation.

• Collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Supervising and supporting students, graduates and junior nursing staff.

• Contributing to quality improvement, risk management and patient safety initiatives.

• Upholding professional nursing standards and REDHS values in all interactions.

Rochester and Elmore District Health Service (REDHS) is situated in Rochester which is the gateway to the mighty Murray River region and close to the regional centres of Echuca, Bendigo and Shepparton.  

We are an integrated rural health service, providing a broad range of acute, residential aged care, preventative and primary health  programs to a population of approximately 8,600 people in the Campaspe and Bendigo Shires.
