Project Estimator – Commercial Construction

We're looking for an experienced Commercial Building Estimator to join our growing team in Burleigh Heads.

You'll price a diverse range of commercial refurbishment, remediation, building upgrade and capital works projects typically valued between $40,000 and $1.5 million, working with long-term clients across commercial, retail, education and industrial sectors.

No two projects are the same. One week you may be pricing an office refurbishment, the next a structural remediation project, roofing upgrade or Industrial building de-fit.

Many of our projects begin with a client objective rather than a fully developed scope. You'll work closely with clients, consultants and our internal team to help define practical solutions before preparing commercially sound estimates.

This is a hands-on position where you'll have genuine influence throughout the pre-construction process - from initial client discussions and site inspections through to tender submission, project handover and supporting the delivery team with variations when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate commercial estimates and cost plans

• Review drawings, specifications and site conditions

• Attend site inspections

• Develop practical solutions with clients

• Obtain and negotiate subcontractor pricing

• Identify value engineering opportunities

• Manage multiple tenders and deadlines

• Prepare project handovers for delivery teams

• Price project variations when required

About You

You'll bring:

• Experience estimating commercial construction projects

• Strong knowledge of construction methods and pricing

• Excellent commercial and negotiation skills

• Ability to interpret plans and specifications

• Strong communication and client relationship skills

• A practical, solutions-focused mindset

• Excellent organisation and time management

• Experience in commercial construction, remedial works or facilities management projects will be highly regarded.
