Customer Service Officer

• Permanent Part-time role, 32 hours per week, 4 days per week (Mon-Fri).
• $36-$38 per hour pay range.

About the role

• Be the first point of contact for Council, delivering excellent customer service across phone, in-person and online channels.
• Resolve enquiries efficiently while building positive relationships with the community and staff.
• Manage cashiering, receipting, reconciliations and daily banking activities accurately.
• Provide administrative and library support.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and always ensuring a welcoming environment.

What we’re looking for

• Experience delivering high-quality customer service, ideally within local government or a similar environment.
• Strong multitasking, time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage enquiries across multiple channels.
• Excellent communication and computer skills, with confidence using office systems and technology.
• A positive, adaptable attitude and willingness to learn all aspects of the role, including payments processing, administration and library services.
• Full Australian working rights, drivers license and Working with Children Check (or the ability to obtain one).
