About the role
Inverell Shire Council is looking for someone like you for the role of Administration Officer. The Administration Officer is responsible for providing word processing, clerical and office administration services for Inverell Shire Council's Civil Services and Environmental Services Divisions, and to assist with word processing and office administration in other Divisions at Council as and when required.
About the role
As a key member of the Administrative Services team, Council's Administration Officers provide or support the delivery of a variety of services to the Inverell Community, through:
Remuneration shall range from $1,118.30 to $1,194.12 gross per week, and a normal work week shall consist of 35 hours per week.

The following selection criteria shall be considered as part of your application:
Essential:
NSW Higher School Certificate.
NSW Class C Drivers Licence.
Proven successful experience in an office environment.
Capacity to operate in an office environment using Word, Excel, Outlook , Power Point and other general office computer applications.
Demonstrated ability, experience and commitment to excellence in customer service.
Proven high-level communication skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable:
Completion of suitable formal training in Office or Business Administration.

Employment will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Local Government (State) Award 2026. The classification for the position is Band 1, Level 3, Grades 4. Salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience, and will be in a range from $1,118.30 to $1,194.12 gross per week, and a normal work week shall consist of 35 hours per week.
