Trainee Poly Fabricator

We are Australia's leading distributor of McElroy poly welding equipment and OEM parts, have Australia's largest McElroy rental fleet, mechanical and electrical workshops in QLD and WA, Engineering department and HDPE Fabrication department. 

Your New Role:

Our HDPE Fabrication service continues to steadily increase and we are now looking to grow our team in our Clontarf facility.

Your Work will include:

• HDPE welding tasks as directed by the HDPE Fabrication Manager. Including measuring and cutting pipe, reading and interpreting drawings, butt and extrusion welding (when trained). 

• This is workshop based role in our Clontarf facility

• Maintaining a high level of housekeeping.

• Safe lifting and handling of pipe.

• Working closely with the HDPE fabrication team to maintain QA and grow the business unit.  

What you'll need to succeed:

• Willingness to develop new skills, with hands-on training in extrusion welding and butt welding provided.

• Reliable and sound work ethic.

• Current driver's license.

• Forklift licence is desirable, but will look to up skill in time.

• Have a professional, positive attitude and take pride in your work.

• Strong OHS commitment.

• Applicant must be able to work in a team and to a high standard.

• Great communication skills.

• Australian citizen, Permanent resident, NZ national or presently carry valid visa with full rights to work in Australia.
