Cafe Manager / Shop Leader

About the role

You will be responsible for helping lead the front-of-house team and ensuring the café operates smoothly, professionally and consistently every day. This role is ideal for an experienced café manager, assistant manager, supervisor or strong hospitality/retail leader who enjoys working with people, keeping a business organised and taking ownership of day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Leading and supporting the front-of-house team
• Maintaining high customer service standards
• Helping manage staff performance, training and development
• Ensuring cleaning, presentation and operational standards are maintained
• Handling customer feedback and resolving issues professionally
• Completing general administration and paperwork
• Assisting with food safety, compliance and record keeping
• Monitoring sales, labour, waste and general shop performance
• Helping coordinate promotions and new product launches
• Working closely with the owners, Head Chef and Head Barista

• Highly organised and reliable
• Friendly, professional and great with customers
• Comfortable having difficult conversations when required
• Strong with administration and paperwork
• Confident using computers, apps and social media
• Calm and organised during busy service periods
• Commercially minded and aware of sales, labour and costs
• Previous café or hospitality management experience highly regarded
• Open to experienced retail managers, assistant managers and supervisors with strong leadership and operational skills

Mark Daniels Patisserie is a busy, family-run café and patisserie located in Robina Town Centre. We make and bake our products fresh on site and have built a strong team across our kitchen, coffee and front-of-house operations.
