Based in their modern Hawthorn office, you'll inherit an established portfolio of loyal commercial clients, receive ongoing warm referrals, and have the opportunity to grow your book through trusted relationships not cold calling.

This is a role for someone who enjoys getting out from behind the desk and becoming a trusted adviser to their clients.

You'll regularly visit clients at their offices, depots, workshops and operational sites to gain a genuine understanding of their businesses, identify risks and provide tailored insurance solutions that protect what matters most.

Managing an established portfolio, you'll work closely with clients throughout the policy lifecycle—from renewals and program design through to insurer negotiations and claims support—while identifying opportunities to expand their insurance programs across additional business lines.

As the business continues to grow, you'll play an important role in strengthening long-term client partnerships and contributing to the brokerage's continued success.

• Manage an established portfolio of commercial insurance clients.

• Build trusted, long-term relationships through regular client engagement.

• Conduct client meetings and site visits to better understand business operations and risk exposures.

• Develop tailored insurance solutions to meet individual client needs.

• Negotiate policy terms and coverage with insurers.

• Support clients throughout the claims process, providing guidance and advocacy.

• Identify opportunities to expand client insurance programs through cross-selling and referrals.

• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

We're looking for an experienced insurance professional who combines strong technical knowledge with exceptional relationship-building skills.

You'll ideally have:

• ASIC Tier 1 Insurance Broking Qualification (PS146).

• 5+ years' experience in commercial insurance broking or account management.

• Experience managing commercial insurance portfolios.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• A consultative, proactive approach to client relationships.

• Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience within transport, logistics, construction, forestry or heavy equipment industries will be highly regarded.

• Experience using Insight software will be advantageous.
