Exciting Opportunity: Science Laboratory Technician! 

Join our vibrant educational community at All Saints Anglican School and play a pivotal role in supporting our Science department. We are seeking a dedicated individual who is passionate about providing technical assistance and ensuring the smooth delivery of practical classes in Science. 

All Saints will be opening three new science classrooms and a large prep room for the start of 2027. There is an exciting opportunity for the laboratory technician to set up the new classrooms alongside the science staff and to layout the prep room in the most effective way. 

Role Overview: 

As the Science Lab Technician, you will: 

• Support Classroom Teachers: Assist in preparing for practical classes and ensure the delivery of the curriculum. 

• Equipment Management: Responsible for timely ordering, setup, and maintenance of equipment and consumable products. 

• Collaboration: Work closely with teachers to facilitate practical classes and maintain a safe and organised learning environment. 

• Full-time ongoing position 

Responsibilities: 

Your duties will include, but are not limited to: 

• Setting up for practical classes 

• Assisting students during practical sessions 

• Ordering and organising supplies and equipment. 

• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the laboratory 

• Providing technical support to teaching staff 

• Managing inventory of materials and hazardous substances 

• Disposal of Chemicals & Biological material 

Qualifications and Attributes: 

• Qualification: Experience as a laboratory technician in a school environment is preferred but not necessary 

• Certifications: WWCC and NCCHC (or willingness to obtain) 

• Skills: Good numeracy and IT skills, ability to work under pressure, and strong interpersonal skills 

• Initiative: Capacity to work efficiently in both an independent and collaboratively environment, supporting the mission of All Saints Anglican School
