Mine Operator

Based in the beautiful, pristine northern region of Tasmania, we have an opportunity available for a Mine Operator to join the team at our Railton site. Reporting to the Mine Team Leader, the role’s primary function is to operate heavy mobile equipment to ensure the daily supply of raw materials to the crusher.

Your Opportunity

• As a Mine Operator with us you will be operating our heavy equipment including front-end loaders, excavators and auxiliary equipment.
• Monday – Thursday (6am - 4pm) with overtime opportunities available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
• Work-life balance - Enjoy working in the Mining Industry but still being home every night, no more FIFO/DIDO.
• Our Mine Operators are covered by the Railton Plant and Devonport Terminal Operations Enterprise Agreement.

What You’ll Bring

• 2 years’ experience working in the Mining industry - highly desirable
• Previous experience operating excavators and front-end loaders - essential
• Current Manual Licence - essential
• Auxiliary equipment experience - desirable
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• A strong commitment to working safely
