As we continue to invest in our people, equipment and operations, we're looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician – Fitter to join our team.
Reporting to and supporting our Production & Engineering Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining equipment reliability, supporting production operations and driving continuous improvement across the site.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced FMCG snack food factory where you will be the go-to person for resolving equipment issues quickly and safely, helping to keep our production operations running efficiently.
Working across multiple production lines, you'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and improving a broad range of equipment including automated mixing, filling, packing, sealing and stacking machinery, along with associated conveyors, utilities and ancillary equipment.

What You'll Be Doing
Diagnosing and repairing faults on production, packaging and site equipment
Performing preventative maintenance, inspections and scheduled servicing
Troubleshooting conveyors, drives, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Supporting automated mixing, filling, packing, sealing and stacking equipment
Fitting, machining, fabricating and modifying components as required
Supporting production changeovers, machine set-ups and line adjustments
Assisting with upcoming equipment installations, upgrades and improvement projects
Completing maintenance records and work orders accurately in line with HACCP & GMP programs
Contributing to continuous improvement, reliability and downtime reduction initiatives
Manage critical spare parts to support reliable operations and minimise equipment downtime.
Work closely with equipment suppliers to coordinate servicing, troubleshoot issues, and ensure equipment meets performance expectations.
Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment
What We're Looking For
Australian recognised trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Fitting & Turning or equivalent
Minimum 2 years' experience maintaining industrial machinery
FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging or continuous production experience highly regarded
Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Experience with conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, hydraulics and pneumatics
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and equipment documentation
Restricted Electrical Licence – Class 2 (Disconnect/Reconnect)
Forklift Licence (preferred but not essential)
Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
Reliable, punctual and committed to working safely
