Position: Sports Centre Assistant

Role Summary:
The Sports Centre Assistant helps ensure the smooth, safe and welcoming operation of a sports and recreation facility. The role involves assisting customers, maintaining facilities and equipment, supporting sporting activities, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers and assist with enquiries, bookings and facility use.
• Support the day-to-day operation of the sports centre.
• Set up and pack away sports equipment and facilities for activities and events.
• Monitor facilities to ensure they are clean, safe and well maintained.
• Follow health, safety and emergency procedures.
• Assist with sports programs, classes, competitions and community activities.
• Check and maintain sports equipment and report damaged or unsafe items.
• Process payments and assist with canteen duties.
• Help resolve customer concerns in a professional and friendly manner.
• Work effectively as part of a team, including evenings, weekends or public holidays when required.
• Clean the centre daily.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, responsible and able to work independently.
• Ability to work in a busy, active environment.
• Basic computer and administrative skills.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety.
• First Aid/CPR certification is desirable.
• Previous experience in sport, recreation, customer service or facility operations is advantageous.
• Must have your own vehicle.

Pay: $33.00 – $40.00 per hour

• Full Driver Licence (Required)
