Test Technician

The role:

Based in Glen Waverley, we’re looking for a skilled and passionate Power Transformer Test Technician to join our Test Department to help us deliver world-class solutions from our cutting-edge facilities in Victoria.  

Reporting to the Test Manager, the successful candidates will need to be very detailed, resourceful and who can thrive and excel under pressure and are able to consistently meet tight deadlines.

Key attributes and behaviours include:

·         An electrical trade (electrical fitter or electrical mechanic) or diploma qualification.

·         Three (3) of years hands-on electrical trade experience.

·         Capability to read and understand technical drawings.

·         Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.

·         Communicate effectively with team members and contribute positively to a collaborative work environment.

Key responsibilities:

·         Accurately and efficiently perform a range of electrical tests.

·         Working efficiently in a high-risk environment.

·         Assisting with hazard identification and risk control.

·         Complying with the policies and procedures of the organisation.

The following experience will be well-regarded: 

·         Experience in transformer industry or similar manufacturing environment.

·         Experience working in the Australian High Voltage Industry and working knowledge of the “Blue Book”.
