About the Opportunity

The Executive Officer plays a key role in providing executive support to the Chief People Officer and contributing to the effective operation of the People and Wellbeing division. Working within the Divisional Strategy and Operations team, you will provide strategic, operational and executive support in a collaborative environment.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the centre of divisional priorities, coordinating communications and events, preparing briefings, and supporting governance activities that enable timely, well-informed decision-making. You will contribute to the division's culture and engagement, help support the evolution of its operating model, and engage with stakeholders across the University, building relationships that create alignment and positive outcomes.

Success in this role will come from your ability to exercise sound judgement, manage competing priorities, maintain confidentiality and navigate complexity with professionalism and confidence. What's Required

• Demonstrated experience providing high‑quality strategic, operational, executive or advisory support in a large, complex and fast‑paced organisation, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities.
• A proven ability to show initiative, identify opportunities for improvement, challenge the status quo constructively and influence others towards more effective and people‑centred ways of working.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement, tact, diplomacy, confidentiality and professional credibility. Able to operate as a trusted advisor and thought partner to senior leaders, including through executive assistant duties, while managing multiple priorities.
• Highly developed computer skills, including strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and an ability to leverage digital tools to streamline processes, improve communication and enhance the staff experience.
• Proven capability to handle complex situations and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously — including events coordination — balancing long‑term initiatives with the day‑to‑day needs of a dynamic division.
• A strong commitment to service‑oriented values with the ability to build, maintain and strengthen relationships across varied stakeholders, and to contribute positively to culture and engagement within the division.

 What’s on Offer?

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 7 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $130,943 comprising base salary within the range of $101,821 to $111,917 plus 17% superannuation.
