The opportunity Help emerging football talent build their skills, confidence and understanding of the game as a Regional Assistant Development Coach within the Talent League Country Region. Working across either the boys' or girls' programme, you will support the planning and delivery of training sessions and match days while contributing to the individual development of Victorian Talent Pathway players. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the talent pathway while continuing to develop your own coaching capability. The approximate commitment is 6 hours per week pre-sesaon, and 10 hours per week in-season, including match days, with evening and weekend availability required. Opportunities may be available across our Country Regions below:

• Bendigo Pioneers
• Dandenong Stingrays
• Geelong Falcons
• Gippsland Power
• Greater Western
• Victoria Rebels
• Murray Bushrangers.

Coaching opportunities will be confirmed across the six regions following the completion of the current season. Applicants are encouraged to nominate their preferred region or regions when applying, noting that vacancies may not be available in every location. What you'll own You will support the delivery of a positive, development-focused football programme that helps players progress both on and off the field. You'll add value through:

• Supporting the planning and delivery of training sessions and match days
• Helping create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment for players
• Contributing to a respectful and supportive culture across the region
• Working with individual players to strengthen their fundamental football skills
• Providing clear guidance that builds players' confidence and supports their development
• Performing line coaching responsibilities and guiding the players in your care
• Supporting players to understand and apply coaching direction
• Collaborating with the coaching group to deliver a consistent development experience
• Contributing to the continued development of the Victorian talent pathway

What you'll bring

• AFL Silver Coaching Accreditation (previously Level 2) or demonstrated progress towards achieving it
• A sound understanding of coaching principles and player development
• A commitment to supporting the individual development of talented players
• The ability to provide clear, constructive and development-focused coaching
• Initiative and the ability to contribute effectively within a team environment
• The judgement and care required to create a safe, inclusive and respectful environment
• Well-developed digital and IT capability
• A commitment to continuing your own development as a coach
• Availability to work evenings and weekends, including match days
