Diesel Fitters / Auto Electricians Required Crew Positions and Field Service

MDD Heavy Industries is seeking highly skilled Diesel Fitters and Auto Electricians to join our growing field service team in the Bowen Basin. With over 10 years of industry experience, we are proud of our family-oriented culture and commitment to excellence. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for dedicated professionals who share our passion for delivering top-quality services to our diverse clientele, ranging from large Tier One mining companies to small, family-run operations.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on large mining and civil equipment, including CAT, Komatsu, Liebherr, and Hitachi.

• Undertake fault-finding, component rebuilds, and general servicing.

• Provide high-quality work in line with safety and operational standards.

• Work both in the field and workshop environments as part of a dynamic team.

• Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime for our clients.

What We’re Looking For:

• Trade Qualification: Mobile Plant Technology or Heavy Diesel Mechanic (Cert III).

• Trade Qualification: Automotive Electrical Technology (Cert III).

• Experience: Previous exposure to mine sites and working with major OEM equipment (CAT, Hitachi, Liebherr, Komatsu).

• Skills: Strong fault-finding, diagnostics, and component replacement abilities.

• Certifications:

  • Current Australian driver’s license.

  • Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain).

  • Working at Heights RII (or willingness to obtain).

  • National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain).

• Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit and able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.

• Must reside within Australia
