About the role
Wyanga Aboriginal Aged Care | Redfern, NSW SACS Level 3 – from $80,006.68 per annum, based on experience and qualifications
Wyanga Aboriginal Aged Care is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders to remain connected to culture, community, family and Country while receiving high-quality, culturally safe aged care.
We are seeking a highly organised and people-focused People & Culture Officer to join our Head Office team. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this hands-on role supports recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, workforce compliance, training, HR systems and day-to-day people and culture operations.
You will bring experience in HR, people and culture, recruitment or workforce administration, with strong organisational, communication and record-management skills. You will be confident handling confidential information, using HR systems, managing competing priorities and knowing when to escalate sensitive matters.
Experience in aged care, community services, Aboriginal community-controlled organisations, Employment Hero, workplace relations, WHS and workforce compliance will be highly regarded.
Aboriginality is a genuine occupational requirement for this position under section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW). Where a suitable Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander candidate cannot be identified, Wyanga may consider non-Indigenous applicants with strong cultural capability.
A satisfactory National Police Check and right to work in Australia are required.
To apply, submit your resume and a short cover letter outlining your relevant experience and interest in joining Wyanga.
