About the role

As a Commercial Cleaner with AM Retail Services Pty Ltd, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment at Numurkah Secondary College.

Following the award of our new cleaning contract, we are seeking reliable and motivated local cleaners to join our team in Numurkah.

This is a part-time position with work available Monday to Friday. Multiple positions may be available, with individual working hours and roster arrangements to be discussed with successful applicants.

What you'll be doing

• Cleaning classrooms, offices, staff areas and shared learning spaces

• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and general surface cleaning

• Cleaning and sanitising toilets, amenities and change rooms

• Emptying bins and managing waste and recycling

• Cleaning high-touch surfaces and maintaining hygiene standards

• Following site-specific cleaning schedules and procedures

• Safely using cleaning chemicals and equipment

• Reporting maintenance, safety or cleaning concerns to management

• Maintaining professional standards while working within a school environment

What we're looking for

• Previous commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not essential

• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work

• Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness

• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

• Good time management and organisational skills

• Ability to follow instructions, cleaning schedules and health and safety procedures

• Professional and respectful attitude suitable for working within a school environment

• Physically capable of performing the manual requirements of the role

Training and site-specific induction will be provided to suitable applicants.

Compliance requirements

As this position is within a Victorian school environment, successful applicants will be required to hold or obtain:

• Current Working with Children Check – Employee

• Current National Police Check

• Valid Australian working rights

• Any other required school and AM Retail Services compliance documentation

Applicants who do not currently hold a Police Check or Working with Children Check are still encouraged to apply, provided they are willing and eligible to obtain the required checks prior to commencement.
