Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Bridge Design Engineer to join our growing transport structures team in Perth. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of bridge and major civil infrastructure projects across Western Australia, from early concept through to detailed design and construction support.

You will play a key role in technical delivery, mentoring engineers, and supporting project managers and principals in delivering high‑quality, compliant designs for major public and private sector clients.

How you’ll make a difference

• Deliver and check bridge and structural designs in accordance with AS 5100, Austroads, and Main Roads WA (MRWA) standards.

• Prepare and review:

  • Design reports, calculations, and technical documentation

  • Construction drawings and specifications

• Lead design elements across concept, preliminary, detailed and IFC stages.

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including:

  • Geotechnical, drainage, road design, and construction advisors

• Participate in design reviews, constructability assessments, and safety‑in‑design workshops.

• Mentor and support graduate and mid‑level engineers.

• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and approval authorities.

• Typically 8–12 years’ experience in bridge / heavy civil structural design.

• Sound knowledge of MRWA standards and submission processes.

• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g. SpaceGass, Strand7, LUSAS, Midas).

• CPEng or near‑chartered with Engineers Australia.

• Strong communication skills and attention to design quality.
