About the role

We are currently hiring an experienced Credit Controller to join our team at our Moorabbin office. This is a hands on credit control role for someone who is confident managing a debtor ledger, proactively pursuing overdue accounts, negotiating payment outcomes and making informed decisions around customer credit risk.
As a Credit Controller, your role will be to proactively manage the collection of outstanding debt, minimise financial risk to the business through the assessment of customer creditworthiness and company risk profiles, and drive timely payment outcomes, whilst building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities of this role:
Collection of all outstanding debt via targeted communication strategy.
Customer queries (including disputes) to be resolved in a timely manner.
Regular communication with Account Management teams and customers.
Use of the Aged Trial Balance, and diary notes in ERP system to proactively monitor outstanding debt to facilitate timely and complete collection.
Manage customer credit limits and make recommendations according to customer risk profile and/or customer spend.
Daily banking and reconciliation requirements.
Maintenance of an assigned debtor/s ledger, including accuracy of debtor information, reconciliations, and clearance of unmatched items.
Monthly statements, reminder letters and copy invoices submitted to customers as required.
Assistance with regular reporting, as requested.
Any additional duties as delegated by management.
What we are looking for:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Credit Control or Collections focussed role.
Extensive exposure to customer base, including high levels of experience in customer excellence.
Strong experience in influencing outcomes.
Proven ability to manipulate, analyse & interpret raw data in Excel.
